A new artist in waiting in the wings. Jessie James, a Southern born singer, is recording songs for her debut album under Mercury Records. Her collection is a unique one, as it’s really a mesh of pop and country music.
When asked about her songs, Jessie described hers as pop, twangy, edgy, and soul. James’ first single is “Wanted”, and it is written by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. If you want to have a taste of Jessie’s music, go ahead and watch her video.
When asked what makes her different from the rest of the female recording artists right now, Jessie straightforwardly said, “I can sing! I have been in this business since I was 15. I can write my own songs. I am not just a pretty face with ass-shaking abilities. I can actually sing.”
Mercury Records has inked a deal with Jessie James and she’s going to be launched real soon as a recording artist. She’s slowly inching her way to stardom and her biggest issue to date is the fact that hottie John Mayer is hitting on her.
